Pruning trees protects your property and can prevent long term problems with your trees. Using proper arboricultural standards, our team is highly skilled at pruning trees and shrubs to enhance the life and appearance of your landscape.

While we are dedicated to preserving the trees and shrubbery surrounding a property, there are instances where tree removal becomes necessary. Whether a tree poses a risk by leaning towards a house or is severely damaged or diseased beyond recovery, removal becomes the only option. Our tree removal services prioritize efficiency and safety, all while ensuring the highest level of care for your property.

Stump Grinding

Stumps are stubborn. That’s why you need specialized equipment and trained professionals to remove them. Our stump grinding equipment can handle any size stump and safely grind it down, so the space is no longer an eye sore. After the stump is ground, we typically leave the wood chips on site so they may be used for composting, erosion control, etc., or we can recycle the wood chips and topsoil and seed the area.

Emergency Tree Service

We offer emergency tree removal and cleanup for when a tree falls on a house, blocks a driveway or road, or other critical situations. Our number one priority is safety and efficiency during these difficult times. We respond quickly and work with our clients to find the best solution that minimizes the impact to your home or property.

Cabling & Bracing

We are passionate about tree preservation. Not all defects can be corrected with pruning alone. If a tree has defects that can be corrected or strengthened with structural supports, we will install them in an effort to preserve the tree. Cabling and bracing can help these trees withstand weather events that include strong winds or storms.

Tree Root Aeration & Excavation

Our excavation tool sends a pressurized jet of air into a tree’s roots or the soil around it. This can improve the soil structure around your tree without damaging the roots and allows us to remove excess soil from a tree planted too deeply or expose girdling roots for removal.

Shrub & Tree Planting

We believe that the best landscaping is the kind you don’t have to work at. We’ve been planting shrubs and trees for decades and are experts at ensuring they thrive in their new homes. We can help you choose the right plants for your property’s needs and design a plan that will keep them healthy and looking great for years to come.

Utility Vegetation Management

We have a team of certified line clearance arborists at Birchcrest Tree and Landscape trained to help utilities safely provide uninterrupted power to customers. We provide transmission line clearing, distribution right-of-way clearing, and substation maintenance. The utility companies provide us with precise specifications for each trimming contract that are followed exactly as stated, as required by the New York State Public Service Commission (PSC).

At the forefront of our operations is an unwavering commitment to safety. Safety isn't merely a requirement—it's a continuous process. Through weekly meetings, safety standdowns, quarterly seminars, and jobsite safety briefings, we ensure safety remains the focal point at every jobsite, every single day. Our team comprehends the significance of each task, consistently employing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), implementing best management practices for traffic enforcement, prioritizing EHAP awareness, ensuring secure drop zones, and practicing safe climbing and rigging techniques. Furthermore, every crew member is proficient in First Aid and CPR. These practices exemplify just a fraction of our rigorous safety standards.

We operate with state-of-the-art equipment and can access resources that span the eastern United States. We have the capacity to efficiently complete regional projects, mobilize and deploy storm response teams rapidly, and keep the power on for our vital utilities.
