Frequently Asked Questions

I've already had the first round of my lawn care program, but I’m starting to see dandelions in my yard. Why didn’t it kill them?

+

The first treatment targets weeds that are already growing, not seeds waiting to sprout. Dandelions that appear after your initial application likely germinated afterward. Follow-up visits are timed to control these new growth cycles as part of your seasonal program.

Can I plant grass seed after a pre-emergent treatment?

+

It’s best to wait. Pre-emergent herbicides are designed to prevent seed germination—so planting grass too soon can reduce success. If seeding is part of your plan, let us know and we’ll adjust your treatment schedule accordingly.

How soon can I water or mow after a lawn treatment?

+

Watering should wait at least 24 hours unless otherwise directed. Mowing is generally safe once the application has dried, but waiting 24–48 hours allows the treatment to be more effective.

When is the best time to water?

+

Early morning, between 5 a.m. and 10 a.m., is ideal. Watering during this window helps the soil absorb moisture efficiently and reduces the risk of disease from prolonged leaf wetness.

Why do I need aeration?

+

Aeration loosens compacted soil and helps water, nutrients, and oxygen reach the roots more effectively. This process promotes stronger, healthier grass and improves the performance of your lawn treatments.
