New York State Arbor Day

Arbor Day is a national holiday that is dedicated to the care and planting of trees within our communities. In New York State it is observed on the last Friday in April. Read more about the History of Arbor Day.

The Lilac Festival

Friday, May 10 to Sunday, May 19, 2013

Rochester's annual Lilac Festival is the only 10-day free festival of its kind in North America. The Lilac Parade starts at 10:30am on Saturday, May 11th at the corner of Elmwood AVe. & South Ave.

Art and Craft Show hours are Saturday, May 11 & May 18, 2013 from 10:30am - 6:00pm and Sunday, May 12 & May19, 2013 from 10:30am-5:00pm

Maplewood Rose Celebration 2013

June 14-16, 2013

The roses are in bloom and a full program of activities awaits visitors to the 23rd annual Maplewood Rose Celebration, to be held in and around Maplewood Park and Rose Garden.
